The hotel is situated in a peaceful location accross the river Elbe from the city centre within easy access of the shopping areas, the railway station and the old town over which the hotel has splendid views. All the sites of Dresden are within 5 mins walk.
All rooms have been renovated recently and the elegant furnishings are of highest quality. The warm colourscheme and the comfortable armchair in every room provides a warm welcome to every guest and gives a sense of homeliness. A selection of restaurants is available to suit all tastes. There is also a coffee shop with its own pastry kitchen. The Elbterrasse is a particulary nice place to eat with its splendid views over the river.
This is a large fine looking building which incoporates a double court structure dating from Saxony's baroque period giving the hotel a charming touch of romanticism and elegance. All this makes the hotel seem ancient, but it is in fact a modern building. There is an attractive terrace and cobbled courtyard where guests can relax on fine days. The lobby is Grand with a mixture of modern and period pieces. It has a Polished floor and a modern sculpture as a centre piece.
The Westin Bellevue is after the completed refurbishment recently one of the best hotels in Dresden with definitely the most romantic location on the banks of the river Elbe. |
